Dan Kostin is an instructional designer who moonlights as a website designer & sometimes vice-versa. He has designed websites in many industries including retail, manufacturing, education, & now therapy. Dan’s educational background in classical languages & literature allows for a unique & meticulous perspective into the nuances of the English language. Long story short: He can help you build something beautiful, functional, & grammatically correct.

What do I need to prepare?

Does it really take a week?
Once you have completed the intake process, we will strive to have your website turned around within a week - this timeline is very much dependent upon the resources & content that you provide.
What if I already have a website?
Great! Our team can take your existing content & use it to create a brand-spankin' new Squarespace™' website. Our designer will work through this process with you & duplicate existing SEO.
Does Website in a Week include SEO?
The short answer is yes; this package includes basic SEO according to industry standard best practices. This more specifically includes your site title, SEO descriptions, & verification of proper formatting. More advanced optimizations will be up to you, but we will get you started down the right path.
Where can I find resources for writing my copy?
Included in your purchase is access to our Know Your Niche Course, Badass Website Module, & Easy, Effective Website Copy Course courses! We STRONGLY encourage people to use them to create the copy you turn in to your designer. We want your website to bring in clients. This is our proven advice on how to make that happen.

Don't worry - we make it easy for you. Choose from a curated selection of color schemes, or tell us what you like or don't & we can pick one for you. 🎨
How do I know which template is right for me?
Any of these websites will perform beautifully. We give options so you can choose the one that feels the most "you." There is no wrong answer, so go with your gut. 💜
Will I have the opportunity to provide feedback on the website?
Heck yes! We want this to be a collaborative process with you in the driver's seat. After completing the intake steps, which are designed to ensure that all of your bases are covered, you'll meet with your website designer within a week to review & finalize your website. ✅
Once the website is finished, what happens next?
Once we finish your website, congrats! It's yours. While we will provide you with guidelines on managing your website's basics yourself, you are now fully in the driver's seat. Please get in touch with our team to learn more about our hourly ongoing website support.
What is the difference between domain hosting vs. web hosting?
- The domain is the name of the site URL (e.g.: http://abundancepracticebuilding.com/
). Some Website in a Week clients may choose to purchase a new domain through Squarespace & receive a free year of domain hosting ($20 value).
Other clients may choose to host their domain elsewhere (Godady, Google, Namecheap, Bluehost, etc). Domain hosting on Squarespace is not a requirement for this service. - Web hosting is essentially what the Squarespace platform is & does. Squarespace hosts, stores, & manages the content of your website. Since there are different content management needs for different clients, there are several subscription tiers available. To date, most Website in a Week clients have opted for the personal subscription plan, but there are cases where the perks of the business-level plan would be more appropriate. Your designer will go over these options with you during or before your second meeting.
In any case, a Squarespace web hosting subscription will be required to publish your new website. The subscription fee for Squarespace's web hosting service is NOT included in the cost of the Website in a Week service.
Are there any additional costs associated with this service?
Yes; the purchase of both domain & web hosting services are required outside of the cost of Website in a Week.
