About Amorette O’Brien, MA, LMFT:
Hi there, my name is Amorette O'Brien and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a practice in Windham, NH. I specialize in working with anxious adolescents; these great kids may have trouble sleeping, focusing in school, experience panic attacks, and/or have a poor self-image.
In therapy at NSFT clients will learn about their triggers, why they experience anxiety, and how they can better manage their reactions to it.
On a personal note, I'm often in awe of my amazing clients; every day they face their fears (unlike me who steers clear of heights!) and keep going. I love to help make their days a bit easier by teaching them the skills to manage their anxiety. Anxiety and fear are necessary emotions but knowing when it is appropriate (running away from a dangerous situation) vs not needed (taking a test, meeting up with new people, etc.) is important.
Feeling in control of anxious thoughts is very important. I look forward to connecting and helping!
